Chisholm Chapters Book Club hard at work rating each of the shortlisted books.

Our completed collage.  Students in reading classes were asked to look at the cover and read the blurb of each nominated book in the Older Reader category and paste on the cover that looked the most interesting.  Some interesting observations: Many students voted for ‘The Quiet and the loud’ and ‘Two can play that game’

As a follow up to our Book Club collage, we created a bigger one for our Year 7 and 8 Reading program.  Students are asked to read the blurbs for all the Older Reader Category books and then paste the cover of the book that is most appealing onto the collage.

Preferential Voting using Ranked Vote website for MBC Shadow Judging Our Group used lots of discussion and then used the Ranked Vote Website with some of their comments and the judging criteria to  finalise our votes.

Our Book Club students rated the Older Reader Category novels visually, by pasting the cover of the books they preferred onto our school emblem. Looking at the collage you can clearly see that Grace Notes was the winner.
