Access to the CBCA Sun Project: Shadow Judging website is available to all users. However, registration is necessary before users can post any data or other material. We do not share or transfer your data to any third-parties, with the exception of the CBCA State and Territory Branches. Registration is open to any individual or school-based or corporate/organisation-affiliated member of a state or territory branch of the The Children’s Book Council of Australia. Fees charged to facilitate access to this site will be determined at the discretion of the CBCA National Board.

CBCA Sun Project: Shadow Judging may collect information from registration applications and renewals, through its website and through transactions on the CBCA online store (https://store.cbca.org.au).

The information is collected and held in several ways including:

  • membership database,
  • general correspondence,
  • emails,
  • financial transaction records,
  • newsletter distribution,
  • subscription database, and
  • webform submissions.

We collect and use your information so that we can:

  • establish your identity and process registrations,
  • manage our relationship with you and our State and Territory Branches,
  • administer our website and related services,
  • identify and tell you about activities that may interest you,
  • comply with our legal obligations.

CBCA Sun Project: Shadow Judging newsletters are sent from an external provider, Brevo!. You will see an option to manage your email preference at the end of every email sent through Brevo! where you can subscribe/unsubscribe.

You have the right to request access to any of your personal information held by the CBCA Sun Project: Shadow Judging and to request corrections. A individual can also request that their own personal information be deleted or destroyed. The CBCA Sun Project: Shadow Judging will make all reasonable efforts to do so. However it may be impossible to do so without impacting your ability to use the website. Likewise we may not be able to delete everything without some residual information remaining because it forms part of our financial records.
