Just like the Paper-flower girl, our book club members were invited to create what makes them happy with our paper craft materials. It was wonderful seeing the beautiful creations of our students and staff. We have a library foyer window dedicated to this shadow judging creative response.
Our book club members admired the illustrations and messages portrayed in Paper-flower Girl by Margrete Lamond and Mateja Jager. We discussed bullying and finding your voice.
So far, this is one of our favourite books in the shortlisted Picture Book category.
