In search of what? A case of the the Journey or the Destination?

In search of what? A case of the the Journey or the Destination?

Group: Holy Spirit College

After reading and considering the picture storybook, some of the main ideas/themes that stood out included:
-Searching/Journeying
-Life’s ups and downs
-Interconnections between humans, nature and the environment – A Sense of Belonging,
-Love and Family.

This response involves a combination of Pic Collage and Acrostic Poem.
The Pic Collage features:
-Family members who I love doing life with – Involving representatives from 3 generations (the circle of life).
-Three Statements
1. “Life is better when done together” (shared human experiences),
2. “Take care of this place and of each other” (our responsibility to be kind, compassionate and caring towards others and to be stewards of God’s Creation)
3. “Find the Extraordinary in the Ordinary” – If we are unable to be present in the moment, be grateful and able to see the beauty and positives every day in the little moments, then we will be ever searching/seeking, restless and left feeling unsatisfied in life
-The background is blue to link to the book, its main character and the colour theme.
-The Acrostic poem for BOWERBIRD BLUES – links together many of the ideas and features of the book, its story and the key messages (as interpreted by me!)
