Ardtornish PS Year 1’s enjoy ‘The Truck Cat’

We talked about what it might be like to move from place to place and not have one set home. Even though Tinka moves a lot, she feels happy and safe because she’s with someone she loves. After reading the story, we had great discussions about what makes us feel at home and how important our families are whether that’s the people we live with or those who care about us. We each drew our own Tinka cat and shared what ‘home’ and ‘family’ mean to us. Our pictures are full of colour, imagination, and love. We hope you enjoy looking at our beautiful artworks.
