For the shadow judging, I chose the book ‘A Leaf Called Greaf’, a very sentimental, heart touching book with vibrant, vivid colours spread everywhere. It’s about the friendship between a bear and a leaf he finds which he calls Greaf. Bear and Greaf spend all their time with each other, but as the seasons change and Autumn begins to dissipate away, Bear is brought with a huge struggle of leaving behind his best friend. However, when brought upon this struggle, he must learn to adapt and deal with his grief. This book really captures such a special message and moral, it’s watercolour artwork enhancing the book even more. It’s watercolour designs of warm, vibrant colours contrast to the cool colours, truly letting the reader have a sensational experience when reading this book. Overall, this book is such an amazing, heartfelt book with a heartwarming message and phenomenal artwork.
