Our students enjoyed reading ‘Australia: A Country of Colour.’ They appreciated the beautiful water colour images and information around the science of colour and the variety of interesting facts about native flora and fauna. Students were inspired to create a book trailer for the book.

Emmaus: Library of Colour
The students in the year 5 and 6 non-fiction group responded to the book ‘Australia: Country of Colour’ by creating a beautiful rainbow of non-fiction books in our library. Our artwork is called ‘Emmaus: Library of Colour’. They had such a good time doing this, they also created a rainbow of fiction books.

We think the book Eww Gross will appeal to children because the cover is inviting and is bright, which attracts the reader. There are lots of yukky facts in this book! Our creative piece shows some of the gross facts we learnt. We unanimously voted for Eww Gross to win the Eve Pownall Award.
