Our group had fun discussing how clever animals are and what we feel we are good at. We looked at Jan Godwin’s website and read how she changed the wording of the last page from ‘You are excellent at something too’ to ‘You can do wonderful things, too. It’s true.’ The double page near the end showing lots of children doing things was fun to look at and find what they enjoy doing. For our activity we went to the Word Wildlife Fund website and did the quiz to match what we like doing to an Australian animal. Two of us were rock wallabies because we like climbing and adventure and one was a greater glider because she was playful and curious and a night owl! Audrey also drew pictures of some of the creatures in the book.
