A Leaf Called Greaf

Students created an alternative to the front cover using AI.

We examined the way that leaves change after they are removed or fall from the tree or bush and created the spectrum of leaves. Be this was then mixed with all the different emotions we connected with grief.

The orb of colour is an orb with different colours within. It is inspired from the leaf called greaf, with watercolours and hands that are a white outline which the bear silhouettes were drawn as.

My creation has a range of elements such as collage with a mix of watercolour. It is based on a page in ‘The Leaf Called Greaf’ showing a horizon with a setting sun with the bear down at the lake with his leaf. This scene symbolises memories that he had with his original family but

My artwork was another version of one of the ‘Leaf called Greaf’ artworks and I just incorporated some of the colours used. Mostly I used bright colours and green to represent a garden and the multicolour splashes as flowers. It represents new growth and something thriving.
