The Concrete Garden

Our Year 2 Shadow Judges loved the book The Concrete Garden. They loved how the characters were creative and worked together. When they worked together they created an amazing picture that bounced around the world and made everyone happy. It brought beautiful colour into the grey world. We created a shared drawing and talked about some words that described our experience as we drew. The students came up with the words joy, friendship, loving, sharing and teamwork. We took a photo of our artwork and made it into cards. We wrote messages in our cards and sent them to spread joy and colour to people in our community.
