Lavalla Catholic College Traralgon
Scarborough has a story,
Caring characters are lacking their glory,
Arrival of new enemies and foes,
Rivalling and diminishing Scarborough’s glow.
Trouble in the town provides interesting writing,
Or as people might say, conflict or fighting,
Words trailing off, changing the story for better or worse,
Neglecting some plots, still showing its worth.
Help! Our dad needs to come home,
Under the cover of night we work to bring him back,
Dank and cold, but it must be done,
And the only way to do it is to cause mischief.
With the help of a new friend,
And a walkie-talkie or two,
Some way or another…
Huda and I will do it,
Erroneous uncles and babysitters,
Righteous bosses and more,
Evil can only be stopped by Huda and me.
Jimmy’s real last name is not Baxter, but Branthwaite.
Impossible becomes possible.
Mindful.
Mother’s child.
You have to read it to find out- many plot twists!
Protecting the city from the tummy sucker,
Intelligent pigeons helping others,
Gorgeous seeds make them side-tracked.
Evil pigeon is very bad,
Only pigeons can save you now.
Never call them rats of the sky,
See how the pigeons can save you.
Evie is the girl who hates breaking rules,
Very quiet and calm,
Intelligent and lonely and dinner times,
Even though I didn’t love the book, I would still recommend it to others.
Superb read.
Character development is shown throughout the story.
Outstanding efforts made by the author to bring Scout’s story to life.
United the truckies with dogs due to Scout’s efforts.
Terrific, descriptive language.
