Our book club loved the storyline of Bowerbird Blues by Aura Parker. The students took turns reading the book, discussing the themes, and thought it was so sweet that the bowerbird found just what it was searching for in the end, its beloved soulmate. They admired the beautifully created illustrations and enjoyed the interactive search options offered by the book.
We all brought something blue to collectively create a bowerbird nest while a recorded reading of Bowerbird Blues by Aura Parker for ALIA’s National Simultaneous Storytime was played in the library.
Each of our library foyer windows is dedicated to our shadow judging creative responses for our school community to enjoy.
